My playstation two disc is scratched! Now it won't read the disc! Does anyone know a good way to fix it?

Hey cousin,
I know it sounds crazy. I use toothpaste, the kind that isn't gel and doesn't have those breath crystals, I put it on the disc. Waited five minutes. Returned and washed it off with water. Used a lint free cloth to dry the disc and it works pretty good.
